Papers Sought for New ASME Nondestructive Evaluation Journal Papers Sought for New ASME Nondestructive Evaluation Journal Papers Sought for New ASME Nondestructive Evaluation JournalSept. 22, 2017 Papers are now being accepted for a new ASME journal, the Journal of Nondestructive Evaluation, Diagnostics and Prognostics of Engineering Systems, which provides a forum for the communication, discussion, and dissemination of advanced research related to Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE), Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Prognosis. The premier issue of the new journal is available online now at http//nondestructive.asmedigitalcollection.asme.org/issue.aspx. The journal is intended to be an archival international journal that will cover the wide range of interdisciplinary work being conducted in the fields of NDE and SHM, as well as report on the use of NDE and SHM in a variety of applications within industry, government and academia. The goal of the journal is to bring together under o ne umbrella the various engineering and science disciplines that contribute to NDE, SHM and Prognosis, while highlighting the practical applications of NDE and SHM in many technical fields. The ASME Journal of Nondestructive Evaluation, Diagnostics and Prognostics of Engineering Systems will cover a variety of subjects spanning all areas of design, development, and applications of NDE and SHM in engineering systems, includingsensors, electronic hardware, testing methodologies, diagnostic feature extraction, damage classification, diagnostic decision support, prognosis, and service life predictiontheoretical developments, numerical analysis and hardware-in-the-loop simulations supporting NDE and SHM methodologiesand continuous and periodic condition assessment using ultrasonics, acoustic emission, vibrations, radiography, electromagnetics, optics, imaging, and other traditional and emerging technologies. The vorwort board is also seeking papers focusing on applications of NDE and SHM i n mechanical, structural, aerospace, naval, and automotive engineering electronics, systems, nuclear, and off-shore engineering harsh or extreme environments and power systems, materials testing, manufacturing processes, product quality control, and fault and failure analysis in engineering systems. The editor of the new journal is Tribikram Kundu, a professor in the College of Engineering at the University of Arizona, Tucson. For guidelines on writing, preparing, and submitting a journal paper, visit http//journaltool.asme.org/Content/AuthorResources.cfm.
